According to MTV, the third season of the Scream series will have a completely new set of characters – all haunted by the someone who’s out to get them. The new cast comprises of Keke Palmer, earlier seen in Scream Queens, Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why), Tyga, C.J Wallace, Giullian Yao Gioiello and Jessica Sula.
The third season of Scream tells the story of Deion Elliot, a local star whose past comes to haunt it. It is unclear whether Deion would play a locally famous actor or a sportstar or something to that effect.
The 3rd season of Scream is also important because it is one of the few mainstream franchises that will have a openly gay character, Manny, played by Giullian Yao Gioello. The series has earlier hinted at their characters being bisexual or even sapiosexual.
When MTV launched its Scream series, some fans were disgruntled about the absence of the iconic Ghostface mask. And in what could be MTV’s nod to the fans, it has announced that the series brings back the iconic mask in the third season. That’s right, you will be able to see that mask – which has also spawned several spoofs in the third season. The third season of Scream has an interesting cast too.
Most of the foreign fans saw the Scream series on Netflix. I was pretty impressed by the series and the new outlook that it gave to the old franchise, making it imminently watchable. With both the seasons available on Netflix, I’d think that the third season of Scream would be available on Netflix soon after it premieres on MTV sometime in 2018.
